Designed and hand-blown by Ana Zuanic in Palos Verdes, CA. This small vessel is 5.5" in diameter and 7.25" high. The vase's interior is solid white, while the exterior is a combination of white, burnt sienna, and various hues of blue glass. The exterior colors swirl around and blend, representative of the Earth's land, water and air. A top view of the vase is reminiscent of a spinning Earth or of the weather systems. The shape of the vase is a round tear drop with a relatively narrow lip. Best used as a flower vase or as a decorative piece.
Staring with molten glass heated at 2100F, all pieces are hand blown and shaped in a hot shop using traditional glassblowing tools.
